Front Porch Student Housing – San Luis Obispo
This 0.86 acre site is the location of the University Board of the Presbytery doing business as Front Porch. The Front Porch operates exclusively for charitable, education and religious purposes by providing a religious center and student housing. The purpose of the building is to facilitate the spiritual, emotional and intellectual growth of its residents, and the community of Cal Poly and Cuesta College.
The project consists of seven two story multi-family units for student housing, two story multi-purpose building that provides a new student center, management offices, recreational areas, a three bedroom housing unit for the executive director and associated parking, bicycle storage and frontage improvements. Sustainable features were incorporated into the project and consist of onsite bioswales and decorative permeable paving. Project responsibilities included: rough grading design, frontage improvements, final grading, drainage and low impact stormwater design.
